All abstracts will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee.  The assessment criteria will be based on originality, relevancy, evidence, and in particular, implementation, impact and transferability of submitted abstracts.  Upon submission, please indicate submission is for oral presentation or for poster presentation, which is particularly for showcasing student innovation.

Oral Presentation: please indicate which of the following topics most relevant to your abstract:

  • Pedagogical approaches for integrating discovery and innovation in the curriculum
  • Assessment and measure of learning outcomes manifested discovery and innovation
  • Curriculum development and instructional design for discovery and innovation education
  • Technologies enabled discovery and innovation

Poster Presentation: please submit student innovation projects/learning outcomes which are exemplary evidence to demonstrate how discovery and innovation are integrated into undergraduate education.


All accepted abstracts (both oral and poster presentation) will be published in the conference proceedings.  High quality presentations will be selected and authors will be invited to develop full papers to be submitted for publication in a book tentatively entitled “Creativity and Innovation in Higher Education”.  Authors will be notified after the conference and provided with a link and deadline for submission.
